Ham Radio operators ready for Annual Field Day

Amateur radio operators or “hams” from the Mayes County Amateur Radio and the Rogers County Wireless Association will present an Amateur Radio Field Day from 1 p.m. Saturday until 1 p.m. Sunday at the Claremore Expo Center.

Howe, Whatley shine at OU Showcase
Claremore senior catcher Matt Whatley went 5-for-9 with three doubles and two singles during four games with the Bearcats at the OU Showcase. Whatley ripped an RBI-double off the 385-foot right-field wall Friday at OU. Later in the day, Whatley's 'pop-time' from behind the plate to second base was clocked at 1.85 seconds.
