Amanda Ott and Chris Henderson exchanged wedding vows Aug. 4, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Claremore. The ceremony was officiated by Dr. Ray Crawford.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Denise Ott of Claremore. She is the granddaughter of Art and Irene Smith of Lakeland, Fla.
Amanda is a 2006 graduate of Northeastern State University. She now teaches fourth grade at Justus-Tiawah and coaches junior high softball.
The groom is the son of Scott and April Henderson of Glenpool. He is the grandson of Jerry and Jane Henderson of Cleveland, and Wes and Rosemary Taylor of Glenpool.
Chris is a 2002 Glenpool High School graduate, and is pursuing a degree in HPE from Northeastern State University. He now coaches football and baseball at Inola.
The bride’s colors were clover, orange and silver. Silver ribbons and candles decorated the pews.
A slideshow of baby pictures and engagement pictures was played during the ceremony while Scott Henderson, groom’s father, sang.
The bride wore a strapless, fully beaded bodice gown with a pickup skirt, and medium train. Her headpiece was made of pearls and rhinestones. Amanda carried a bouquet of gerber daisies, roses, and hydrangeas of orange, green, and pink.
Brittany Montgomery, cousin of the bride, and Breanna Walker, friend of the bride, were maids of honor. Kristina Swanson, sister of the bride, and Morgan Galindo, Kaylee Galindo, and Megan Taylor, all cousins of the bride, were bridesmaids.
Ryly Ziese, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Jeff Taylor, uncle of the groom, stood as best man. Lee Ott and Derick Ott, brothers of the bride, Brandon Henderson, brother of the groom, Kyle Troyer, friend of the groom, Josh Holestine, friend of the groom, were groomsmen. Caleb Taylor, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
Monica Taylor and Miranda Taylor attended the guest book.
The reception, which was held at FUMC, featured a satellite cake decorated with orange gerber daisies,
After honeymooning in St. Louis, the couple will reside in Inola.
