The day of your dreams

Brides-to-be can find help with planning at the Claremore Bridal Fair March 17

Rebecca Hattaway The Claremore Daily Progress Sat Mar 10, 2007, 10:55 AM CST

It is easy for brides planning their big day to feel overwhelmed.

Finding the dress, flowers, invitations, reception site, and the list goes on, can be time consuming and challenging. With so many decisions to be made, where does one begin?

The upcoming Claremore Bridal Fair will offer answers and information to put brides-to-be at ease.

Experts will be on hand to provide helpful advice and ideas on how to make the most of your budget to create a day that is uniquely you.

“The Claremore Bridal Fair is a one-stop answer to the fulfillment of all your wedding day dreams,” said Shirley Campbell, Claremore Bridal Fair committee member.

More than 30 vendors representing wedding boutiques, florists and caterers will participate in the fifth annual event Saturday, March 17 at the Claremore Community Center on North Sioux. Vendors also include travel agents, photographers, disc jockeys, wedding venues and much more.

“The fair continues to grow every year. I been thrilled at the success,” Campbell said, “We have several new vendors participating this year.”

As in years past, the Claremore Bridal Fair highlights local businesses.

“We try to keep it to the small home-owned, home-operated shops,” she said. “There are so many around here that do wonderful work and provide great services.”

The fifth annual event will be from noon to 5 p.m., with the popular “Bridal Fashion Shows” at 1:30 and 3:30.

Attire for the entire wedding party will be provided by Mrs. K & Company and The Men’s Shop, in six different “themes”: traditional, garden, tropical, western, formal and informal. The models’ looks will be completed with jewelry from Jai Lin Accessories and hairstyles from T & Company Salon.

A host of door prizes will be awarded throughout the day and brides-to-be will have the opportunity to register for the grand prize — a bridal package valued up to $2500.

The event is organized by a committee of businesses: Campbell Travel, Mrs. K & Company, Dorothy’s Flowers, Jason Casey Productions and The Belvidere Mansion.

Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. For more information, call Shirley Campbell at 341-6866.
