J.M. Davis widening begins with road closures

CLAREMORE —  

The city of Claremore is preparing for the widening of J.M. Davis Boulevard and portions of the roadway will be closed throughout the process.

Oklahoma Natural Gas will be relocating a gas line on Monday and Tuesday.

They will be doing the work overnight in an effort to be less disruptive to traffic, but it will require partial sections of J.M. Davis to be closed off for a few hours each of those two days, according to city of Claremore Communication Director Cassie Woods. 

It will be closed from 1st Street to Claremore Street on Monday from midnight to 4 a.m.

It will be closed from Claremore Street to Highway 66 on Tuesday from midnight to 4 a.m.

“If you travel J.M. Davis at that time of day, please plan an alternate route,” Woods said. “Thank you for your patience as we work to improve your infrastructure.”
