No. 1 Blanchard blanks Oologah, 4-0 in Class 4A state semifinals

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oologah Lady Mustangs faced their toughest opponent of the season in the Class 4A state semifinals, falling 4-0 to top-ranked Blanchard Friday afternoon at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

Blanchard pitcher Leslie Miller held Oologah hitless through six innings and tallied eight strikeouts.

Miller also proved to be a powerful force on the offensive side, smashing a pair of solo home runs as Blanchard advanced to the state title game against Tuttle.

Oologah got its only hit of the game in the seventh inning on a leadoff double.

The Lady Mustangs ended their season with a 31-13 overall record.

In the other 4A semifinal game, Tuttle used a two-run single by Annie Combs to beat Berryhill, 2-0.
