Marijuana plantation found in Foyil

FOYIL — The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics found almost two thousand marijuana plants Wednesday morning in Foyil.

Acting on information provided them from the Claremore Police Department, OBN agents spotted the “fields of pot” growing in the Foyil area while flying over the vicinity.

When agents later investigated the scene on the ground, they also found a nearby campground with an irrigation system in place to provide the plants with water.

Agents ultimately seized and destroyed the plants, according to Claremore police.

At this time, no arrests have been made, but agents are currently following leads on persons of interest.
