    In the twilight hours of Thursday's opening round of the Big 12 Conference Championship, Texas Christian University rallied from four down — including a six-run rally in the ninth — to upset second-seeded Oklahoma State 8-4 in the early morning hours of Friday at Bricktown Ballpark.

  • BIG 12 TOURNEY: Gray pitches Sooners past Baylor

    The last two times Jonathan Gray took the mound, Oklahoma lost. Gray made sure there wouldn’t be a three-peat Thursday in the first game of the Big 12 tournament at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

    The Sooners’ ace threw a complete-game three-hitter to lead the Sooners to a 2-0 victory over Baylor.

  • OSU coach Travis Ford helps out in Moore

    Any bit of help is welcome in tornado-stricken Moore — whether its cleaning up a cemetery or grilling a fresh meal for victims and relief helpers.

    Oklahoma State men’s basketball coach Travis Ford — along with members of his coaching staff, several Stillwater residents and OSU police officers — did the latter on Thursday by hauling an industrial-sized grill down to Moore and grilling burgers and hot dogs throughout the day.

    Arkansas starting pitcher Ryne Stanek allowed one unearned run and struck out four over eight strong innings, while Tyler Spoon and Matt Vinson each had three hits as No. 15 Arkansas defeated No. 2 LSU, 4-1, on Thursday night at the SEC Baseball Tournament at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
