Playoff matchups
November 13, 2009 — Verdigris vs. Colcord
Verdigris has a potent running attack compiling 2,837 yards rushing. Kevin Stout rushed for 920 on 101 carries and then the Cardinals relied on four other running backs. Tanner Smith, Bryce Lindsay, and Daniel Sparkmen, and Daniel Burke to give the defense a different look.
Defensively the big gun for the birds is Brandon Melton who had 95 total tackles.
Colcord struggled in what would be classified a weak district.
When: November 13, Friday
Where: Verdigris

Foyil vs. Tonkawa
Foyil has its hands full with Tonkawa. The Panthers finished 7-3 overall and 7-2 in the district, but Tonkawa is a whole different beast. The Pirates finished 10-0 and 9-0 in district play and they put it on some of the storied teams in Oklahoma at this level.
Woodland,Pawnee,Haskell,Hominy, and Morrison just name one in that list that hasn’t had a state championship in this decade if not more than one.
It appears an uphill battle for the Panther, but few gave them a chance against a Salina team that hadn’t lost a game to the time they played Foyil. Just maybe the Panthers can play giant killer twice in one season.
When: November 13, Friday
Where: Tonkawa

Bower’s favorite receiver is Austin Ruess who has caught six touchdown passes and a total of 21 reception. the Tigers get close to the end zone look for Bowers.
