June 16, 2009 — Claremore's 3A Red American Legion team — the 1st Bank Eagles — won the Skiatook wood bat tournament over the weekend. The Eagles defeated Bartlesville, 12-0, Skiatook, 12-0, and Collinsville, 2-1, to reach the finals. The Eagles downed Pryor, 7-6, in the championship game.
