Zebra baseballers drop two

Claremore dropped two games Thursday in the Nike Pro Nine high school baseball tournament before the snow hit in Owasso.

A four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh was not enough to catch Blanchard. The Class 4A Lions held an 8-3 lead entering the seventh and turned back the Claremore bid.

The Zebras did, however, out-hit Blanchard, 14-7.

The Zebras did not have such offense in their other game. Sand Springs banged out 17 hits and dropped the Zebras, 15-3.

Claremore scraped together nine hits, but could not slow down the Sandites. Sand Springs scored six in the top of the seventh.
