NORMAN —
The University of Oklahoma baseball program will once again enter the national spotlight when it battles its two biggest rivals in 2013. Game one of the Big 12 portion of the annual Bedlam Series against Oklahoma State will be broadcast on ESPNU on May 10. Fox Sports Net will carry game two of the Red River Rivalry at Texas on April 6. The Big 12 Conference office announced both contests as part of its eight-game television package.
The Sooners will face the Cowboys at ONEOK Field in Tulsa in a 7 p.m. CT matchup on ESPNU. OU is set to take on Texas in a 2:30 p.m. CT contest that will be carried on Fox Sports Net from UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin.
An additional game will be added to the Big 12's FSN slate and is to be determined. FSN will also telecast the finale of the 2013 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship set for Sunday, May 26, in Oklahoma City.
Additional television appearances are possible through other Big 12 broadcast partners and institutional contacts and will be announced at a later time.
The Sooners are seeking to make another run at the NCAA Men's College World Series in 2013 under head coach Sunny Golloway's watch. Oklahoma posted a 42-25 mark last season and reached its third Super Regional in program history. OU is looking to make its sixth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and 36th overall appearance. The Sooners have reached the CWS on 10 previous occasions, winning national championships in 1951 and '94.
OU enters the 2013 season ranked No. 14 by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll, No. 17 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, No. 19 by Baseball America and No. 20 by Perfect Game.
Oklahoma begins the season with a four-game set against Hofstra Feb. 15-17 at L. Dale Mitchell Park. Fans can purchase tickets online on SoonerSports.com or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-GoOU.

All season long, Connors State coach Perry Keith has said his team was winning a lot of ball games ugly.

Pacers, Heat start bracing to square off again
A year ago when Miami and Indiana faced off in the postseason, there were blood-drawing hits, flagrant fouls, technical fouls, choke signs being directed toward LeBron James and more than a few sharp-tongued comments.
Here they possibly go again, at least on the comment front.
The Eastern Conference finals between the Heat and Pacers won't begin until Wednesday night, but there's already signs that the animosity present throughout last season's Miami-Indiana second-round series will likely return this time around. - More Sports Headlines
