School board positions open for filing

CLAREMORE — Candidates for the Board of Education in 14 Rogers County school districts will be eligible to file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday.

“The filing period ends Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m.,” Rogers County Election Board Secretary Julie Dermody said.
The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled on Feb. 13.
If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the total votes cast in this election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will meet in an election on April 2, according to Dermody.
