Catalayah teacher wins Project Classroom contest

CLAREMORE — Catalayah Elementary second  grade teacher Liberty Mann recently won the Channel 2, Tulsa Gold and Silver’s Project Classroom contest. Mann received the $1,000 after she was nominated for her outstanding characteristics in the classroom.

“We feel that it is very important to give back to the community and what better way than to help out students,” said Mike Anderson of Tulsa Gold and Silver. “Our goal is to provide a way to make school exciting for the kids.”
Mann said she would love to use the money to buy more hands-on science curriculum, art resources or some type of innovative technology to use in the classroom.
Mann was more than appreciative as she accepted the gift.
“This will impact my classroom for many years to come,” said Mann. “The possibilities are endless.”
She said she plans to explore ways to keep her class updated and current, providing an enjoyable learning environment for her students.
