Already in Love - New WJRH principal, Schnoebelen, receives good vibes from Claremore

CLAREMORE — After one month, Lindsey Schnoebelen has already fallen in love with her new position as Will Rogers Junior High School principal.

“The kids, parents and teachers have been extremely nice and welcoming,” said Schnoebelen.  “The faculty and staff are very helpful and have made this a great transition for me.”
Schnoebelen, originally from the Kansas City area, received her bachelors degree from Baker University in Kansas, before earning her masters degree in school administration from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
After graduating, Schnoebelen moved to Skiatook, where she taught middle school and high school Social Studies.
“I love teaching and I am happy to be principal of a school where I am confident that the students are learning at high levels,” she said.
Before coming to Claremore, Schnoebelen worked for three years as assistant principal in Bartlesville.
She planned on staying there for a long time until she was notified of the job opportunity at WRJH.
Claremore was the only district she had sent her application.
Schnoebelen said she is excited about the school year.  Her goals are to get parents more involved in school activities and to make sure the students and staff are getting the support they need.
“I have learned something new everyday since I have started,” she said.  “It is exciting to be working with such wonderful teachers and I look forward to a positive experience here at Claremore.”
