OOLOGAH —
An exciting new church experience designed especially for cowboys is coming to Oologah.
Plans are underway for the Cowboy Country Fellowship to begin later this fall. They will be meeting in the former Oologah Assembly of God church located at 330 West Cooweescoowee Street.
The facility had recently been occupied by Harbor Church, but became available when they moved into their new facilities. This gave Oologah Assembly of God an opportunity to begin an outreach ministry to cowboys, farmers, ranchers and others designed with them in mind.
The fellowship will provide a relaxed atmosphere where people can come as they are after feeding the stock, working in the fields or after a weekend at the rodeo.
A meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the Bob Rhoads Family Life Center at 330 West Cooweescoowee Street in downtown Oologah for anyone interested in being involved in the ministry from the ground up.
Help is needed in several areas, including decorating the facilities, worship music, children activities, and other ministries that will be of interest to cowboys and cowgirls.
