Rev. Jerry Edmon, prophetic pastor from Elgin, Texas, will be ministering at Lifechanger Church at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9. Lifechanger Church is located 1/4 mile north of Rogers State University on Highway 88.



BETH MOORE      SIMULCAST

First Baptist Church of Claremore will host a Living Proof Live Simulcast with Beth Moore from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 10. Doors open at 8.

The event offers messages that will challenge and encourage both veteran and first time participants to dig deeper into a more intimate relationship with God.

DON WOODS

Don Woods will speak at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 at Washington Baptist Church, 14751 S. 4230 Road. The former Channel 8 meteorologist will share his testimony as well as telling the GUSTY book story and how it is being used to reach people in many countries with the Gospel.

Special music will be presented by The Jennings. A lunch fellowship will follow the service.

9/11 SIMULCAST

New Hope Church of God will host a worldwide simulcast with Anne Graham Lotz and Joel Rosenberg on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, at 6 p.m., at the church, 1904 N. Sioux.

Rosenberg, New York Times best-selling author and expert on Biblical prophecy, will speak on Biblical prophecy and current events that point to Jesus’ return.

Lotz, Bible teacher and award-winning author, will speak from the book of Isaiah, urging the church to get ready for the return of Jesus.

CAMP MEETING

Verdigris Assembly of God will host Camp Meeting 2011 beginning Sunday, Sept. 18 at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Monday through Wednesday, Sept. 19-21 at 7 p.m. There will be a different speaker each night. PRAYER SERIES

“Steps To Intimacy with God,” a series presented by Claremore House of Prayer, continues each Monday through Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Claremore. A special service with Bob Long from Rally Call Center of Austin, Texas, will be held Thursday, Sept. 29.

The prayer series focuses on drawing near to God with purpose and intentionality. There is live worship, tips on how to develop intimacy with God from mature believers, and focused prayer topics.

CONFERENCE

“Storming the Gates: Bringing God’s Kingdom into the Marketplace,” a conference sponsored by Claremore House of Prayer, Lifechanger Church and Holy Fire Tabernacle, will be held beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 through 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Lifechanger Church, 2221 Cornerstone Ave. in Claremore.

The conference will be led by Robert Ricciardelli and Bob Long.

KNITTING GROUP

A knitting and crocheting group will resume meeting each Wednesday at noon and at 6 p.m., Sept. 14 through Nov. 16, in the Volunteers’ work room at First United Methodist Church of Claremore, 1615 N. Highway 88.

Patterns, needles and yarn are supplied. The group made hats, gloves, prayer shawls, baby blanket and preemie blankets.

ARTS AND CRAFTS FAIR

First Baptist Church of Verdigris will host the Amazing Grace Arts and Crafts Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17 in the church community building. Crafts, baked goods, baby accessories, gently used decorator items and wall decor will be available. Admission is free.

SHRIMP PEEL

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will hold its annual Shrimp Peel from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 17. Menu includes all you can eat boiled shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes, cole slaw, sherbet and iced tea. ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW

Eastern Hills Baptist Church will hosts its 3rd Annual Fall Arts & Crafts Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24.

The event is free and open to the public. The church is located off Highway 20, one mile north of Will Rogers Downs.

WOMEN’S RETREAT

First United Methodist Church of Claremore is sponsoring a W.O.W. (Women of the Word) retreat Oct. 15-16 at Camp Egan in Tahlequah. Theme is “SeaSide Escape.”

Cost is $45 per person which includes a Friday evening dinner at the church, transportation and lodging at Camp Egan on Saturday night, all meals, snacks, camp fires, s’mores, sing-a-longs, plus several inspirational programs. There will be free time to explore the grounds and hike up to the Cross on the Mount. Sunday breakfast and worship service will conclude the retreat.
