VBS July 12-16
Memorial Heights Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School July 12-16 from 9 a.m. to noon. Theme is “Roundin’ Up Questions and Drivin’ Home Answers.” Ages 4 through sixth grade welcome. The church is located at 1500 W. Will Rogers Blvd. For more information, call 341-5952.
VBS July 26-30
Lifechanger Church will have Vacation Bible School July 26-30 from 8:45 a.m. to noon. Theme is “Hero Headquarters,” a place where children learn to join forces with God and become a hero in their everyday lives.
Ages 4-12 welcome. Early registration is accepted Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church is located at 2221 Cornerstone Ave., just north of Rogers State University on Highway 88. For more information, call 341-8344.
SAMS and SALS
Jamie Gilliland, Baptist Collegiate Ministry Director at Rogers State University, was the speaker for the June luncheon and fellowship of the Sams and Sals (Senior Adult Men and Senior Adult Ladies) of Memorial Heights Baptist Church.
Gilliland spoke on “Defining God in Your Life,” and also of his work as campus minister at RSU where he works with and leads students on building their faith.
June birthdays were celebrated by Bill Mullins, Bill and Melba Quinton and Allene Gilbert with Allene winning the birthday gift.
For the June activity, the Sams and Sals met June 18 at the new Braums North in Claremore for an evening meal together.
July 8 with be a “Destination Unknown” trip.
