Filing begins
Several Rogers County offices will be up for election this year, and filing for those offices begins Monday.
One race has already generated a lot of interest with at least five candidates already announcing — County Commission District 1. Other potential candidates have indicated they will throw their “hat” into the ring for District 1, and also for District 3. -
Vinita resident seeks House seat
Chuck Hoskin, Vinita, has put his bid in for the Oklahoma House of Representatives in District 6, which includes Craig, northern Mayes and northern Rogers counties.
“I’m running because I know that I can make a difference at the State Capitol for the people of District 6,” Hoskin said. -
Chelsea mayor up for House seat
Chelsea Mayor Kenny Weast has announced his candidacy for the Oklahoma House of Representatives District 6 seat.
Weast, a Democrat and lifelong Chelsea resident, believes the people of District 6 deserve “a real leader who listens to their concerns and who will work tirelessly with others to find solutions.”
