Thomas Lloyd ‘Tom’ Curtis

CLAREMORE — Thomas Lloyd “Tom” Curtis, 69, son of Paul & Elaine Curtis, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 16, 2012.  

Tom was born on February 24, 1943 in Quincy, IL and grew up in Kirksville, Mo.  

Tom served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971, deployed to Vietnam in 1970 were he was awarded a Bronze Star.  

Tom was married Kay Alexander in 1962. They had two sons; Tim and Kenny.  Tom married Myra Green in 2000.

Tom loved hunting, fishing, fixing things and being on the lake. His most treasured times, however, were spent with those he loved, his boys, his family and his God.

Surviving Tom are his wife, Myra, mother Elaine Curtis, son Tim Curtis and his wife, Cari; son Kenny Curtis and his wife, April; brother, Jim Curtis and wife, Mary Ellen; sister, Patty Northrop and husband Fred, sister, Karen Wright and husband Ed; grandsons, Travis, Chase, Dusty, and Clayton Curtis; step-grandsons, Trevor, Kevin and Ryan Gross, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Tom was preceded in death by his father, Paul Curtis and baby brother Richard Paul Curtis.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012, at 10:00am at the First United Methodist Church.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials made to the First United Methodist Church, 1615 N. Hwy 88, Claremore, OK 74017.

    A celebration of the life of Dale F. Bruer will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 17 at First Baptist Church in Claremore. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-5 p.m. on Sunday with family receiving visitors from 3-5. Dale passed away on June 13, 2013. He was 80 years old.

    Graveside service for Ronald “Mark” Reich will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Timpson Chapel Cemetery, White Oak. Burial will follow under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.

    Services for Alice Faye Johns will be Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 5-7 on Thursday evening at the Funeral Home.  Alice passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013. She was 66.

    Jerry passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 61.
