Charles Wesley ‘Chuck’ Springer

CLAREMORE — Charles Wesley “Chuck” Springer departed this life on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the age of 96 years and 11 months. He was a resident of Wood Manor Nursing Facility, Claremore, Okla.

John Wesley and Martha Viola Johnson Springer were blessed by his birth on Aug. 7, 1915 in Craig County, Vinita, Okla.

On the 24th of August 1935, Chuck and Ruth Opal Moody were married in Shawnee, Okla. Three children blessed this union. One stillborn, two sons, Floyd Eugene and Paul Odell Springer. Ruth passed away on Feb. 6, 1942 in Shawnee, Okla.

Chuck then met and married Reba Joyce Armstrong on Dec. 28, 1950 in Siloam Springs, Ark. Joyce had a daughter, Helen Marie Lewallen, which Charles later adopted and loved, and raised as his own.

Chuck was a quality control inspector in the Aero Space Industry for more than 35 years. His hobbies included building remote control airplanes, reading, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives; infant child; son, Floyd Eugene Springer; brother, Floyd James Springer; sister-in-law, Essie Springer; nephew, Jimmy Springer; and son-in-law, Eugene Anderson.

Survivors include: son, Paul Springer and wife, Jane of Claremore; daughter, Helen Anderson, also of Claremore; grandchildren, Debora Blevins and husband, Mark of Crowley, Texas, Susan Blevins and husband, Paul of Afton, Okla., Dale Anderson of Mountain Home, Ark., Dianna Landes and husband, Tim of Pike Creek, Texas, Holly Arthur and husband, Neil of Claremore, Joe Brassfield of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Delila Bates of Roland, Okla.; seven great-grandchildren and friends.

Graveside services will be July 28, 2012 11 a.m. at Graham Memorial Cemetery, Pryor, Okla.

    Rebecca made the journey to heaven on May 5, 2013. She battled cancer of many kinds for the past seven years. She never lost faith in God, claiming victory all the way to the end. She was so spirited and full of life. She loved and cared deeply for all her friends she met through the consignment shops. She loved to visit. Rebecca enjoyed life.
