Bettye Sue (DeWitt) Hendricks

CLAREMORE — Rural Vinita resident, 70-year-old Bettye Sue (DeWitt) Hendricks passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 in Joplin.

Bettye was born on Oct. 7, 1942 to Lyle Norman and Elnora Mable (Pennington) DeWitt in Claremore.

Bettye was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Samuel Hendricks in 2009; her parents and her brother Bill.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

She loved spending time with people and helping them. She always had a smile on her face. She was a loving Nana, always going to and supporting all her grandchildren’s activities.

Survivors include: her daughters, Samantha Hendricks and Cindy Griffin and her husband Kent, all of Ketchum; two grandchildren, Kevin and Mandy, and numerous nieces, nephews, as well as a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at First Southern Baptist Church in Ketchum, on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Bill Busch officiating.

Burial will follow at the Ketchum Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home, Vinita.
