Mike Wilson

Claremore, OK — Memorial service for Mike Wilson will be 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Rev. J.R. Sumter officiating.

Mike died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the age of 59.

The son of Earl Wesley Wilson and Helen Shinn was born May 10, 1950, in Picher. Mike attended school in Picher, and continued his education at a college in Livermore, Calif. Mike served in the U.S. Army. In 1983, he moved back to Oklahoma and worked for a plumbing company in Tulsa for a year. In 1984, he went to work for Rogers County Rural Water District #5 where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. Mike enjoyed motorcycles, and working with wood.

He is preceded in death by a daughter.

Survivors include his brother, Don Thomas and wife, Norma of Verdigris; nephews: Michael Thomas and wife, Joyce and their family, and Robert Thomas and wife Bridget and their family of Grove; niece, Sharon Lehew and husband, Jan and their family of Broken Arrow; and significant friend of many years, Kay Lynn Halford of the home.
