CLAREMORE — Funeral service for Pearl Bird will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pastor Mike Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pearl Gourd Baldridge Bird passed away June 4, 2012 in Tulsa at the age of 88 after a long battle with cancer.

The daughter of Jack Rabbit and Maudi McNutt was born March 3, 1924 in Wagoner, Okla. As a young lady she and her family made their way to Claremore.

She was especially proud of being a stay at home mother and wife. As her children grew older she began to help senior citizens in nursing. Her hobbies include gardening, and traveling especially to Hot Springs, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sons, Roger and Vernon Gourd.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years Charlie Bird, children, Carol Parish, Swimmer Baldridge, Sandra Stuart, Clark Baldridge, Archie Baldridge and Wanda Gerber; step-children, Wayne Baldridge, Jack Baldridge and Rose Ann Ransom, and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that filled her life with love and laughter.
