CLAREMORE —  

Robert Lee Rush, 83, of Talala, Okla. passed away Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 at his home. He was born October 18, 1926 in Jennings, Okla. to Dennis Arthur Rush and the former Mary Lucille Wise. He had lived in Talala since 1976 having moved from Tulsa. He began working for Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa on March 11, 1952. He retired as Branch Manager of Industrial Engineering from McDonnell Douglas on October 30, 1981.  He owned and operated Rush Brothers Roustabout Service in Cushing, Okla. for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma of the home; five children: Connie Rush and  husband Tom Killgore of Owasso, Rhonda Gail Rush of Tulsa, Debbie Krueger and husband Charles of Austin, Texas, Laura Allen and husband Brett of Skiatook, Okla., Bret Adkins and wife Marianne of Colleyville, Texas; 13 Grandchildren: Jeff O'Connor and  wife Katie, Jessica Thompson and  husband Curtis, Jon O'Connor and wife Debbie, Alex Keyan, Micah Keyan, Aaron Krueger, Brittani Allen, Derek Allen, Ashley Adkins, Thaddeus Adkins, Madalyn Adkins, Adrienne Adkins and Zachary Adkins. 8 Great-Grandchildren: Taylor O'Connor, Rush O'Connor, Payton Thompson, Kaylee Thompson, Grady Thompson, Nicholas O'Connor, Matthew O'Connor, and Vincent Keyan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Frank Rush and J H Warnock, two sisters, Eileen Rose and Betty Jean Lewis and 4 infant sons.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010 from noon to 8 p.m. at the Oologah Dolton Funeral Home. 
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Talala with Rev. Lester Orwig officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Talala, OK. Services are under the direction of Oologah Dolton Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Talala Mission Fund.
