CLAREMORE —
Margaret Belle Burd, resident of Collinsville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at the age of 86.
Belle was born July 14, 1926 in Claremore, Okla. to William Fred and Julia Ellen (Horner) Froman.
She was raised and received her education there. On Aug. 20, 1942 at Claremore, Belle and Theo Burd were united in marriage. To this union, three sons were born. Belle was a member of Marantha Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, cooking and growing flowers.
Those that survive include her sons - Pete Burd and wife Georgia, Jerry Burd and wife Carma and David Burd and wife Cara.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a brother Jake Froman of Claremore. Belle was preceded in death by her parents, husband Theo, two sisters Liz Sullivan and Lorene Vickrey, as well as four brothers Loyd, Billy, John and Bob Froman.
Funeral services were 10 am Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 in the sanctuary of Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastors Don Moseby and Dwayne Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, Owasso.
Visitation for Belle was 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3 at Mowery Funeral Service.
