Memorial services for Kimberly Ann Chafin, 51 of White Oak, Okla. were 11 a.m. Monday in the Assembly of God Church in Chelsea with Pastor Allen Dunn and Pastor Leighton Reed officiating. Family will received friends at the Alluwe Community Center 2-4 p.m. Sunday Oct. 7, 2012. Memorials made be made to the “Chelsea Ministerial Alliance” and may be sent to the Lakeside Bank, 516 S Walnut, Chelsea, OK 74016.
Kimberly was born June 17, 1961 in Claremore, Okla. the daughter of James A. and Judy A. (Hefner) Barger and passed away Oct. 5, 2012 at St Francis Health Center in Tulsa following a very complicated illness.
Kimberly was always a very responsible and loving person. When her mom and dad worked in the fields, she lovingly cared for her brothers and took to the cleaning of the house and cooking. She graduated from Alluwe High School in 1979 and attended Bible College and Secretarial School. She would be considered a modern pioneer woman, as she owned and operated many business’s including restaurants, beauty salons and a convenience store. She has been a partner with her husband Ralph in C. and C. Well Service and Chafin Land and Cattle Company for the past 19 years.
Kimberly’s life was about living, she was witty and had a wonderful sense of humor. Her days were filled with her family and adventure. She was a passionate loving wife and a caring grandmother who doted on her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by her brothers as the best sister a brother could ever ask for. All of her extended family was important to her. She was the Proverbs 31 woman, but her devotion to God and family did not stop there. Kimberly also answered God’s call to missions, spreading the love of Christ to others across the globe.
Kimberly is survived by her husband Ralph of the home in White Oak; son, Burton Lee Chafin, his wife Janet and their children Shelby, Jeremiah, and Briar of Perry, OK; mother and father, James A. and Judy A. Barger of Alluwe; brother, Jimmy Barger of Alluwe, his daughter, Jessica and her children, Bryzell and Brylenn; brother, Scott Barger, his wife Sherri and their children, Tate and Paige of Alluwe; honorary sisters, Debbie Melton of Stillwater, OK, Lisa Oliver of Bartlesville, OK and Pam Lawthorn; a host of special cousins and extended family who were all a part of her life. She will be greatly missed by all.

Benjamin Stokes Thaxton, 91, born in Dewey, Okla. on Aug. 30, 1921. He entered into rest on May 13, 2013. Ben died at his home in the presence of his wife of 70 years, Charlotte Roberta Hale Thaxton.

Rebecca made the journey to heaven on May 5, 2013. She battled cancer of many kinds for the past seven years. She never lost faith in God, claiming victory all the way to the end. She was so spirited and full of life. She loved and cared deeply for all her friends she met through the consignment shops. She loved to visit. Rebecca enjoyed life.
