Sept. 12, 2009 — Sometimes when a team gets too comfortable things tend to fall apart.
For the Claremore Christian Warriors being comfortable with a 30-14 halftime lead over Bokoshe wasn’t what Head Coach Ryan Mullins had in mind.
While the Warriors were able to extend their lead to 38-14 in early in the third quarter, the Tigers kept threatening drawing within two touchdowns with 6 minutes left in the third period, 38-22.
The Warrior responded with a seven yard pass from senior quarterback Andrew Bell to Tyler Hammack, pushing the lead to 44-22.
However, the Tigers were able to recover an onside kick and scored with 45 seconds left in the third quarter.
Bokoshe marched won the field and score with 8:20 left in the game pulling within six points, 44-38.
Claremore Christian responded by recovering another Tiger onside kick and driving to the goal line.
Bell faked a passed and took a bootleg around the right side to score the winning touchdown.
