3-on-3 tournament

The Sequoyah Eagles Tip-In Club is hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament Aug. 8-9 in Olan Graham Fieldhouse. Entry forms available at the Claremore Recreation Center, or telephone, Darren Devore, 824-5738, Rodney Arthur, 948-2205, or Rick Maples, 639-1011.



Co-ed softball

A slowpitch softball, co-ed, 12-game doubleheader league is scheduled Aug. 7-Sept. 11 in Claremore. Entry fee is $300. A coaches meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. Monday. Contact, Lisa, 361-7239, or rcsoftball@sbcglobal.net.



Verdigris scramble

The Verdigris Quarterback Club will host a four-person golf scramble Aug. 15 at Scissortail Golf Course in Verdigris. Field is limited to 22 teams and entry must be received by Aug. 3. Entry fee is $200 per team. Telephone, Dan Nickles, 266-0582.



Women’s volleyball

A 16-week women’s volleyball league will begin Aug. 19 at the Claremore Super Rec Center. A captain-player meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 12. To join a team, contact Brandy, 260-8815, or brandyfitzloff@msn.com.



Softball tournament

The Cherokee National Holiday fastpitch softball tournament is scheduled Aug. 28-30 in Tahlequah. Entry deadline is Aug. 7. Entry fee is $225. The majority of each team must consist of players who are members of a federally recognized tribe. Teams may include up to two non-Indian players. Cowboy Caravan

Oklahoma State’s 2009 Cowboy Caravan will stop in Tulsa Thursday night. Head football coach Mike Gundy will be the featured speaker at 5:30 p.m., at the Renaissance Tulsa, 71st Street and U.S. 169. Admission is free.
