3-on-3 tournament

Co-ed softball

Verdigris scramble
The Verdigris Quarterback Club will host a four-person golf scramble Aug. 15 at Scissortail Golf Course in Verdigris. Field is limited to 22 teams and entry must be received by Aug. 3. Entry fee is $200 per team. Telephone, Dan Nickles, 266-0582.
Women’s volleyball

Softball tournament
The Cherokee National Holiday fastpitch softball tournament is scheduled Aug. 28-30 in Tahlequah. Entry deadline is Aug. 7. Entry fee is $225. The majority of each team must consist of players who are members of a federally recognized tribe. Teams may include up to two non-Indian players. Cowboy Caravan
Oklahoma State’s 2009 Cowboy Caravan will stop in Tulsa Thursday night. Head football coach Mike Gundy will be the featured speaker at 5:30 p.m., at the Renaissance Tulsa, 71st Street and U.S. 169. Admission is free.
