October 28, 2009 — Dust off your finest toppers and join the Indian Women’s Pocahontas Club in celebrating Will Rogers’ 130th birthday Nov. 4.
The “Hats Off to Will” celebration will begin at 2 p.m. and the ladies of the club will don their most exquisite hats for a hat contest during the celebration at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum.
The event will kick off in the Main Theatre with emcee Donna McSpadden to help with the bash. Then party goers will enjoy traditional Native American fashions and drums and flute entertainment.
At 3 p.m. in the Rotunda, there will be a fall foliage basket ceremony followed by afternoon tea in the Vista Room.
The hat contest awards will be held at 4:30 p.m.
