Chamber event features seven county leaders


October 27, 2009 — Seven city and county economic, education and community leaders will take part in a Chamber of Commerce panel presentation, “Croissants and Coffee,” 7:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in the Rogers State University Centennial Center.

The event is free and open to the public. Pastries, juice and coffee will be provided.

Panelists include:

•Don Cochran, executive director, Rogers County Industrial Development Authority

•Mike Helm, District 2 Rogers County Commissioner

•Tim Hight, executive director, Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority

•Mike McClaren, superintendent, Claremore Public Schools

•Troy Powell, city manager, Claremore

•Rick Reimer, director of the Claremore Campus, Northeast Technology Center

•Larry Rice, president Rogers State University

“Each of our panelists will be commenting on the many things ongoing in their organizations and also taking questions from the audience,” Larry Green, Chamber Legislative Committee chair, said. Green, the president of Grand Bank in Claremore, said it is a casual and informal opportunity for community and business residents to learn about the “many exciting and dynamic projects” being undertaken in government, education and economic development within Claremore and Rogers County.
