CLAREMORE —
Rogers County investigators have recovered a “multitude” of items from a Claremore man’s home, believed stolen in a recent string of burglaries.
According to Rogers County Deputy Johnny O’Mara, numerous tools, power tools, dozens of watches and “high-priced knives” were found at the Claremore residence of Jason Conrad Lewis.
Lewis, 35, was arrested near Foyil last week on charges of knowingly concealing stolen property, when officers found items reported missing in a burglary report were discovered at his residence.
At the time of Lewis’ arrest, investigator Joe Garber with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office noted several knives at Lewis’ residence and later contacted a previous burglary victim in the Chelsea area.
“When the victim was contacted, he described the knives which had been stolen from him and his description of such matched those which were spotted at Lewis’ residence perfectly,” O’Mara said.
Based on this, investigators obtained a search warrant to search Lewis’ residence, where they seized a “multitude” of items, believed stolen.
Also recovered at Lewis’ residence were several portable electronics, including DVD players, iPods, jewelry, and more.
Investigators are currently comparing properties recovered to previous burglary reports and will be contacting victims regarding their items when “matches” are made, O’Mara said.
Lewis remains in Rogers County Jail on burglary and other charges.
