Pedestrian killed on Highway 20

CLAREMORE —

A man was killed Friday night after he was hit by a car while crossing Highway 20.
The collision occurred at around 10 p.m. just east of Sandstone Drive in Rogers County.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Andy Floyd said Angela Butler, 39, of Claremore, was driving westbound on Highway 20 when the man attempted to cross the highway going northbound.
He died at the scene.
Butler and the two children in the car with her were not injured, Floyd said.
She was not speeding, according to the trooper’s report.
The pedestrian was not carrying identification, but was a white male in his 50s or 60s, Floyd said.
The body will be taken to the medical examiner’s office in Tulsa where troopers will attempt to identify him through fingerprints and dental records, according to the trooper.
