Tulsa man injured in weekend accident

CLAREMORE — A Tulsa man was taken by helicopter to a Tulsa hospital over the weekend following a single-vehicle accident on Keetonville Road.

Billie Tharp, 55, was eastbound on SH20 (1/2 a mile west of Keetonville Road) on his 1983 Honda Motorcycle at 4:09 p.m. on Sunday according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
When Tharp failed to negotiate a curve, he departed the roadway to the right, according to the trooper’s report.
He was then transported by Air Evac to a Tulsa area hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal and leg injuries.
