Aug. 23, 2009 — Will Rogers Memorial Commission members adopted a resolution honoring former Claremore Progress Publisher Dave Story for his support of the Will Rogers Memorial in Claremore and Birthplace Ranch in Oologah.
The resolution was presented to Claudia Story by Commission Chairman Jim Hartz during the wreath-laying ceremony marking the 74th anniversary of the death of Will Rogers and Wiley Post in an Alaskan plane crash.
Story, publisher of the Claremore Daily Progress from 1986 to 2006, died May 20, 2009.
