November 14, 2008 — Cherokee Nation Enterprises announced this morning they have entered into an agreement with Hard Rock Hotel Holdings to brand the Catoosa casino and hotel expansion as the latest in the Hard Rock chain.
The Cherokee Nation will retain full ownership and management of all facilities.
The new resort will include the decor which has made Hard Rock establishments famous around the world.
The new gaming floor is expected to open in December with the hotel anticipating a spring 2009 opening.
The expansion facilities will be known as Hard Rock Hotel Tulsa and Hard Rock Casino Tulsa.
The Catoosa casino complex has been marketed as a Tulsa location by CNE due to the city’s name recognition.
Catoosa abuts Tulsa to the east and is part of the greater metropolitan Tulsa area.
