October 31, 2008 — A train collided with a truck Thursday night near Verdigris, but no one was injured.
According to Verdigris Fire Chief Bob Cox, the 103-car train struck the truck shortly after 6 p.m., at a private drive crossing, inflating the truck’s airbags.
“The train was going slow enough that it didn’t spin his truck around or throw it,” Cox said.
The driver was not injured, Cox said.
