October 14, 2008 — The 2008-09 Bit by Bit therapeutic riding program recently began a new season, with increases in all areas. In the opening days, Bit by Bit instructor Trista Milliman shares tips for tacking up the lesson horses. The number of classes at Bit by Bit has grown from 18 to 28, the number of students (riders) has grown from 58 to 87 and the number of horses has increased from 11 to 14. The volunteer crew — 89 in all — had intensive on-site training for jobs as grooms, horse handlers and side walkers, but more volunteers are needed.
