March 28, 2009 — It was all for a good cause.

Local leaders agreed to dress up as "Old Bags" to help SafeNet Services raise funds for a new domestic abuse shelter.

The Annual Old Bag Auction and Dinner featured several area government officials participating in the event, including Rogers County Commissioners Mike Helm and Dan DeLozier, as well as Sheriff Scott Walton.

SafeNet Executive Director Donna Grabow said everyone had fun for a great cause.

About 70 people attended and participated in silent and live auctions.

Those attending could pay to have one of the "Old Bags" sing karoke.

Each of the county government "bags" showed off their vocal skills until someone paid $10 to get them to stop singing.
