Firefighters respond to medial call at Walgreens

January 8, 2009 — Claremore Firemen and Pafford EMS staff responded to a medical call Wednesday morning from Walgreens on West Will Rogers Boulevard.

“Shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, we responded to a call for medical assistance at Walgreens, where someone had reported that a female customer passed out in the pharmacy area,” said Capt. David Willey, Claremore Fire Department. “Upon arrival, we checked her pulse and administered oxygen to the woman — it was difficult for us to get an accurate reading on her blood pressure as she was bent over, evidently from nausea and stomach pains.”

Pafford EMS arrived on scene shortly thereafter and Claremore firemen assisted in loading the 22-year-old woman into the ambulance for transport to Claremore Regional Hospital.
