Claremore — County commissioners entered a lengthy executive session Monday to discuss the future employment of Vicki Atchley, the part-time county employee in charge of E-911 addressing.
Following the session, commissioners and Atchley agreed in the public commissioner’s meeting that the addressing will be completed within six months as the fiscal year comes to an end June 30. That will finish out Atchley’s service before next year’s budget when money is expected to be tighter than ever. Atchley is also continuing to train Shelly Epperson in the Emergency Management Office. Epperson will keep the addressing system updated after Atchley completes it.
In other county business, commissioners took the following action:
• approved bi-annual road inspections in District 3
• approved Independent Contractor’s Agreement with Cinnabar Service Company, Inc. for land and right-of-way acquisition services on little Dog Creek bridge
• approved cash fund estimate of needs and request for appropriations: Use Tax $55,337; Roger County Courthouse fund $82,209; Health Supplemental Fund (cigarette tax now to be tracked for courthouse) $12,379; Unrestricted Highway $269,271; Cellular Phone Usage $46,584 (two months); E-911 $11,505; Attendant Care $1,275
• approved utility permits for Oklahoma Natural Gas boring under Keetonville Road in D2; AT&T; trenching and boring at East Apache and Old Highway 66 in D2
• approved salary claims including one resignation and one termination in D2; attendant Care to Nick Epperson for Homebound Detention $1,320
• approved blanket purchase orders for Rogers County Fair Board supplies for 2010 Spring Livestock Show to Stillwater Milling $250, Lowe’s $250, and Pixley Lumber $250; For Sheriff’s Office for fuel to D1 $5,000, to D2 $3,000, and D3 $6,000; Board of Prisoners to Bimbo Bakery $1,350, Farmer Brothers Coffee $300, Sysco Foods (fresh fruits and veggies) $3,200 and (groceries) $7,100, Warehouse Market $300; Sheriff’s Medical to Correctional Dental Services $2,000, Diamond Medical $1,000, Diamond Drugs $6,000, St. Francis Lab $1,200, PHS Mobile X-ray $600, Medical Compliance $400; D1 to County Building Center $100.
• approved an amendment to interlocal Master Services Agreement with Regional 911 Board, cities of Claremore, Collinsville, Glenpool, Jenks, Owasso, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Skiatook and Tulsa with Southwestern Bell Telephone d.b.a. AT&T; adding Bixby
• approved moving forward to set hearing for Claremore Public School property to be annexed into Rural Sewer District No. 1 at school’s request
• acknowledged check from Grand Gateway Economic Development Assoc. for November E-911 Service fees $23,775
• approved disposal of numerous firearms for Rogers County Sheriff’s Office to be declared surplus and bid only to licensed dealers
• approved independent contract with Rogers County Abstract for title search on land for right-of-way purchases.
