Claremore — An unidentified woman died last night from injuries received in an early morning residential fire in Claremore.
Claremore Firefighters responded early this morning to a house fire at the 1800 block of Birch Street, with two family members still trapped within the home, according to Claremore Fire Chief Mark Dowler.
Upon arrival, Claremore Police officers told firefighters that one family member had already escaped the house with minor injuries and two were still trapped inside.
Claremore firefighters promptly advanced a hoseline inside the structure to search for additional victims and extinguish the fire simultaneously.
They found one victim unconscious in a bedroom and immediately removed the victim and began treatment, Dowler said.
The patient was turned over to personnel from Pafford EMS for transport to Claremore Regional Hospital.
A third victim was later found inside the structure after the fire was extinguished and pronounced dead at the scene.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Claremore Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall’s office.
