PUBLISHED IN THE CLAREMORE DAILY PROGRESS, CLAREMORE, OKLAHOMA, FEBRUARY 4 & 7, 2010.
SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION AND NOTICE
Under and by virtue of Title 26, Oklahoma Statutes 2001, ‘13-102, as amended, Title 11, Oklahoma Statutes 2001, “16-101 and 16-112, as amended, and laws complementary, supplementary, and enacted pursuant thereto, and a Resolution dated November 16, 2009, authorizing the calling of an election on the proposition hereinafter set forth, I, the Undersigned Mayor of City of Claremore, Oklahoma, hereby call a special election and give notice thereof to be held in the City of Claremore, Oklahoma, on the 9th day of February, 2010 for the purpose of submitting to the registered voters in said City the following proposition:
“PROPOSITION
SHALL ORDINANCE NO. 2009-27 ADOPTED THE 16TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2009, WHICH AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 489 OF THE CITY TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR BUILDING, REBUILDING, OPERATION, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF STREETS, ALLEYS, CURBS, GUTTERS, WATERLINES, SANITARY SEWER LINES, ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES, WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM OF THE CITY AND FIXES EFFECTIVE DATE BE APPROVED?”
The ballot setting for the above proposition shall also contain in connection with the said Proposition the following words and symbols:

The Above Proposition
If the voter desires to vote for the above Proposition, the voter shall complete the arrow to the right of the word >FOR=.
If the voter desires to vote against the above Proposition, the Voter shall complete the arrow to the right of the word >AGAINST=.
That only the registered voters of the City of Claremore, Oklahoma, may vote upon the proposition as above set forth.
The polls shall be opened at 7:00 o’clock A.M. and shall remain open continuously until and be closed at 7:00 o’clock P.M.
The number and location of the polling places for said election shall be the same or the regular precinct polling places as designated for statewide and county elections by the Rogers County Election Board. Such election shall be conducted by those officers designated by the Rogers County Election Board, which officers shall also act as counters and certify the election results to the Rogers County Election Board, which shall canvass the results as in the case of regular elections and certify the results thereof as required by law.

Section 3. That only the registered voters of the City of Claremore, Oklahoma, may vote upon the proposition as above set forth; that the said proposition as set forth above, must be approved by a majority of the said voters voting on the proposition at said election; and that the returns of said election shall be made to canvassed by the Rogers County Election Board. That the Rogers County Election Board shall be notified of such special election by receipt of a copy of this Resolution.
