CLAREMORE — SATURDAY (July 31)

Claremore Farmers’ Market is open each Wednesday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to sellout at the Claremore Expo Center parking lot.



SUNDAY (Aug. 1)

An account has been established at RCB Bank for Noah Jernegan, a Claremore child who has cerebral palsy. Funds are being raised to make it possible for him to attend a five-week therapy program. Send donations to RCB Bank, P.O. Box 189, Claremore, OK 74018.



MONDAY (Aug. 2)

Will Rogers Library Genealogy Volunteers are available each Monday from 3-7 p.m. to answer questions and assist with research.

Mega Sports Camp, Aug. 2-5, 6-8:30 p.m., at Faith Baptist Family Life Center. Ages completed kindergarten through sixth grade. Scrapbooking, karate, basketball, soccer and survival skills. Free admission. Registration forms online at www.claremorefaith.com or call 341-0581.

TUESDAY (Aug. 3)

Justus-Tiawah School new student enrollment, 9-11:30 a.m., at the North Campus. Bring birth certificate, shot record, proof of residency, and CDIB card, if applicable.

Claremore Band Boosters Association board meeting, 7 p.m., in the band room in Robson Performing Arts Center.



WEDNESDAY (Aug. 4)

American Red Cross blood drive, 1-6 p.m., at the Rogers County Building, 416 S. Brady. Schedule an appointment: 1-800-RED-CROSS (733-2767).

Zebra Band Early Week: Wednesday, 7:30 a.m.-noon, Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (parent meeting at 9 a.m.). Early Week Part 2 is Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 9-10, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11, 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1-5:30 p.m.; Thursday, Aug. 12, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Friday, Aug. 13, 7:30 a.m.-noon. The first performance is 7 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Robson Performing Arts Center.



THURSDAY (Aug. 5)

Will Rogers Junior High football parent meeting, 6-8 p.m., in the junior high cafeteria. Pad checkout to follow. Pad checkout will also take place Friday, Aug. 6 from 6-8 p.m. in the junior high cafeteria.

Claremore Public Schools JOM school supply distribution is Thursday, 4:30-6:30 p.m. and Friday, 9-11 a.m., at Central Upper Elementary School (enter on the north side — 11th Street). School supplies are available to all JOM students who are enrolled in Claremore Public Schools for the 2010-2011 school year.

Will Rogers Junior High volleyball tryouts for seventh grade team, 2 p.m. (eighth grade team was selected in May).



FRIDAY (Aug. 6)

Back to School Bash at Chelsea’s McIntosh Elementary School gym, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Community Clothing Closet open 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Free hot dogs and popcorn, face painting, bicycle safety course, haircuts, school supplies, fingerprint identification, Boys & Girls Club sign up and Girl Scouts sign up.



SUNDAY (Aug. 8)

Leadership Rogers County is accepting applications for the 2010-2011 class. LRC brings together individuals from varied professions with a goal of educating them on the issues and resources affecting the quality of life of Rogers County residents and providing tools to become leaders in their community. 33rd Annual Intertribal Indian Club of Tulsa Pow-Wow of Champions, Friday through Sunday, at Claremore Expo Center. Admission: $6 per person (5 years and under free); family day pass for four, $20; or weekend wrist band, $12 per person.



SATURDAY (Aug. 14)

6th Annual Canned Heat Ride (canned food drive) benefiting Good Samaritan Ministry. Pancake breakfast at 8 a.m.; kickstands up at 9:30. Begins at Faith Baptist Church, ends at Gregory Baptist Church.
