WEDNESDAY Oct. 12

Rogers County Basketball Association will have a series of meetings for those interested in being a basketball official for the 2011-2012 season. Foyil United Methodist Church host its monthly community dinner, beginning at 11 a.m. Menu includes the choice of fried chicken or meat loaf and side items for $7.

THURSDAY Oct. 13

Three Rivers Artists meeting, 6:30 p.m., at Rogers State University’s Baird Hall art room. Gary Moeller, art instructor at Rogers State University, will give a demonstration using primary colors for a portrait, showing the difference between using a dark or light surface. Visitors welcome.

Claremore Duplicate Bridge Club, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at Claremore Community Center, 2301 N. Sioux. AARP Chapter 3521 celebrates Oktoberfest, 11:15 a.m., at American Legion Post 141. Hard Rock Casino Marketing Division Representative Stacy McKee-Redden will speak. Verdigris Firefighters Association Pancake Breakfast & Open House, 7-11 a.m. All you can eat pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee. Cost is $5 for adults, $2.50 for kids 12 and under, and free for under 3.

64th Annual Verdigris School Reunion at Verdigris school cafeteria. Doors open 11 a.m.; dinner at 12:30. Meat, bread, tea and coffee provided. Bring a side dish. Door prizes.

Friends of the J.M. Davis Museum meeting, 1 p.m., in the museum’s Claremore Room. Program by Capt. Adam Hull with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Department, and his guest, Sandy the Drug Dog.
