Emergency Management Director selected

CLAREMORE — The Rogers County Commissioners met in executive session Monday to interview three candidates for the position of Emergency Management Director.

Two of the candidates were individuals and one was a proposal to contract for services through Oologah Medical Emergency Services.
After approximately three hours of meetings, the board made a selection contacting the applicant.
At this time, the name of the candidate has not been released.
Interim Director Kelly Deal confirmed Tuesday morning that he did not receive a call from the board.
Commissioner Kirt Thacker requested that Human Resource Director Jenny Bentley contact the candidate during the meeting to offer the position.
After a brief recess, the board determined that they would release the identity later this week, after formal acceptance of the position.
The board completed the final round of interviews Monday afternoon.
Bentley conducted several interviews in the first round of applicants, only three applicants interviewed before the board.
