Election board website expanded

CLAREMORE — Number crunchers, concerned citizens or just the extra curious can now find election results online, dating back to 1998 online.

The Rogers County Election Board is now offering the complete data on their website, www.rogerscountyelectionboard.org.

Visitors to the site can find everything from votes by party — Democrat, Republican or Independent — to the number of total registered voters.

Election Board Secretary Julie Dermody implemented the changes to the website to bring forth transparency.

The Election Board gets a lot of calls from citizens that want to know statistics about voter turnout, according to Dermody.

“People are interested in the results,” Dermody said. “It is a matter of public record and we want to make it as easy of access to the public as we can.”

If people cannot find what they are looking for online they are welcome to give us a call and we will be happy to help, Dermody added.
