Grove postmaster arrested

CLAREMORE — The postmaster for the Grove Post Office was arrested this weekend by Rogers County Sheriff’s Office on various sexual assault and domestic violence charges.

James Monroe Bullis Sr.  was arrested and charged with second degree rape by instrumentation, sexual battery and domestic abuse by strangulation, according to Sheriff Scott Walton.

Bullis is currently employed as the postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in Grove, Oklahoma and served as the former postmaster in Claremore.

 He is currently being held in the Rogers County Jail with current bond set at $120,000.
