CATOOSA —
A routine traffic stop Sunday turned into the Rogers County Sheriff’s Department confiscating $31,000 in cash.
The driver was pulled over for speeding on the Will Rogers Turnpike near Catoosa.
Deputies called Oklahoma Highway Patrol for backup. “Jack,” the county’s narcotics dog, was also brought to assist.
Jack had a drug “hit” on a bag in the vehicle, which was discovered to be filled with cash.
None of the three occupants in the vehicle would claim the money so it was forfeited over to Sheriff’s Department.
This is Jack’s first big bust. No charges have been filed on any of the occupants inside the car.
