CLAREMORE —
Defendant Wanda Michelle Ward, 25, was found guilty Friday, in regards to a 2011 attempted evasion and gun battle with law officers near Claremore.
Ward was charged with three 15- year felony counts, including driving a vehicle in discharge of a weapon and eluding/attempting to elude police officers, according to a Rogers County District Court report.
Ward was arrested in April 2011 after driving a vehicle while passenger Philip Schrader (convicted Friday as well), fired upon Claremore and Verdigris police cars with an AK-47. No officers were injured.
After the sentencing, Ward requested immediate transport from Rogers County.
